We are John & Myra York, and we live in Mt. Airy, Maryland on 6 rolling acres next to 20 acres of woods. Our Shilohs have free rein of our house and property, as Myra is able to be with them during the day. We belong to the ISSDC (International Shiloh Shepherd Dog Club) and we are active in our regional club. One of the things that drew us to the Shiloh breed was the way these dogs get along with one another, and accept people, places and various situations. When properly trained and socialized, you can take a Shiloh anywhere that dogs are welcome. We like to do things with our dogs , and they are all part of the family. We enjoy attending Shiloh dog shows during the year, and participate in many of the ISSDC Events, including picnics, fun days, specialty shows and Shiloh get-togethers.
We were blessed to have a litter of 10 in 2012 (Lady/Sage), a litter of 8 in 2013 (Lady/Shayne) a litter of 10 in 2014 (Lady/Taramack). a litter of 1 in 2021 (Lass/Zeppelin) a litter of 2 in 2022 (Lass/Rifkin) a litter of 8 in 2023 (Lass/Rifkin repeat breeding)
Cabin Run gang
We have made many friends in the Shiloh world, and we're thrilled to see the level of commitment, integrity and excellence exhibited by these breeders. We are Christians and we're very active in our church. John works at the church, but when he's not working he plays a big part in helping with our "gang". Fiddler, Lass and Summer are registered with the TSSR (The Shiloh Shepherd Registry). For more about Shilohs, please visit our club's website. There you will find a wealth of information, including show events, puppies available, breed standard, shilohs at work, rescues and rehomes, health testing, breeders and other helpful information. www.shilohs.org
