Lady is from Crossroad Shilohs in Brigden, Ontario, out of the Kisla/Odin '09 breeding. I saw her picture on our club site when she was just a few weeks old, a light colored sable plush coat with the sweetest face I ever saw! I was continually drawn to this puppy. I realized that I had fallen in love with her, and I looked for every new photo and description of her on the Shiloh puppy website. When John agreed to a second Shiloh, I wasted no time in contacting her breeder and bringing her home. She was 4 and 1/2 months old and I adored her. Lady seemed to love us from the very moment she saw us. She jumped into the back seat and straight into our hearts. Wolf and Lady are best friends, although she does like to boss him and take his favorite toys and bones. We've discovered that Lady will study Wolf very closely at times and actually mimic him---copying his vocalizations, actions and expressions. It's hilarious, and she's very good at it. (Now we find Fiddler doing the same thing with both of them!) She loves anything fun, and can usually be found with a ball or a "stuffie" in her mouth. Lady is always up for a belly-rub or a hug, and loves laying on my feet. She likes being silly and making us laugh. She's got enough energy to be a really fun dog, yet she knows how to settle down and just hang out when it's time for that. Want to go for a car ride? a walk? sit on the porch with me? go to the park? see if there are any squirrels? Lady is always ready with a big Shiloh-grin on her face! She gets a real kick out of pleasing us, which has made her very easy to train. Lady's temperament would be classified as medium-soft. She's super sweet with a dash of spice! Lady enjoys playing fetch, but she seems to prefer to watch Wolf do it after the first few throws. She'd much rather carry her ball around than chase it, prancing around the yard as though she owns the whole world, while looking back at us to make sure she has an "audience". The two of them love running around and playing or exploring together, then plopping down under one of the shade trees to rest. I call them "my bookends" because although they aren't related, they look like they are. Lady has earned the nickname "Queenie" because she always wants the first treat, the best bed, the first pat and the choicest spot in the car ( but she has such a charming way of trying to get what she wants, you just have to laugh). Even though she's a tomboy at heart, we also call her "Miss Priss" because she can be such a ....well....lady! Silly one minute and kissy sweet the next, we all love this girl. She has graduated Beginners, Basic and Intermediate Obedience Classes and has earned her CGC (Canine Good Citizen). Lady has also received her herding HIC (Herding Instinct Certificate) and seems to like "playing with the woolies". She has passed her Adult Temperament Test with gunfire(TT), and we'd like to have her try for the Therapy Dog International Certification (TDI) when the opportunity comes around. With her sweet face and kissy charm, we think she'd be good at brightening someone's day. Lady has done well in the show ring so far, she has been named "GRAND VICTRIX" from our registry (TSSR) and also earned a National Select #3 award for 2013 from our breed club. Lady also has her ICKC Championship and GRAND Championship , TSSR Breed Championship, ISSDC Championship and Intercontinental Championship Copper level. All of her health tests have come back with great results. Lady has excellent lines behind her, with tight hips and wonderful temperaments. She has multiple GV's, NS's and champions in her lineage. Lady was bred to a wonderful boy named "Sage" from Beloved Shilohs, and we are happy to announce that she had 10 adorable puppies on May 14th, 2012!! (see our "Progeny" page.)**** Lady also bred with Aspen Knoll's Shayne and they had 8 beautiful puppies Oct 14th 2013**** ****Lady/Taramack puppies were born June 13, 2014, 10 wonderful puppies**** Lady enjoys meeting new people and dogs, and she seems to especially love children. We are just thrilled with her temperament. This girl has settled into our family very quickly, and is happy to do whatever everyone else is doing. Lady's a sweetie and loves to give kisses, and she's soft and wiggly and full of herself!
December 2015 update: Lady is now retired and enjoying her continued reign as Queen of Cabin Run. She has given us 3 very special litters including our sweet boy Fiddler.
